Swiss Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers

The Daughters of the Utah Pioneers is an organization dedicated to preserving the memories of the LDS Pioneers that crossed the United States in the years of 1846-1869.  The Swiss Camp and the Santa Clara Historical Museum have worked hand in hand to collect the memories of the pioneers of Santa Clara, Utah. Camp meeting is held the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Old Relief Society Hall on Santa Clara parkway at 10:30 am

Swiss -Style Easter Egg Dyeing Demonstration

The Swiss founders of the village of Santa Clara Utah brought with them a interesting method of dyeing Easter Eggs. A demonstration of Natural dying and decoration Easter Eggs will be held at the Old Relief Society Hall on Tuesday March 27 at 10 am

Randel Mc Gee Storyteller and Decorative Paper cutting Activity

On Friday Oct 19,2018 at the Santa Clara Public library Randel Mc Gee, will demonstrate decorative paper cutting and tell stories at the Santa Clara Branch of the Public Library at  4:00pm. Free and Open to the public. The early Swiss pioneers of Santa Clara were isolated.  They had no general store to purchase holiday cards. The craft and tradition of decorative paper cutting was used to make commemorative cards.  The Santa Clara Historical Museum has many examples of these…

Presentation of the Arrowhead Trail

On Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. at the Forsyth room of the St George library, historian Lisa-Michelle Church will present “Bigelow’s Arrowhead Trail,” a history of the first overland road for cars that came through St. George and Santa Clara.
